Kendrick Lamar returns with yet another example of his artful lyricism in “War Is My Love”. The latest track from the Compton rapper appears in the third-person shooter Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, due out for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 tomorrow before hitting PCs in June. Kendrick Lamar’s debut full-length, Good Kid in a Mad City, is set to drop later this year.

After a decade-long campaign of street and subway wall adorning graffiti that has garnered recognition from his homeland in the UK to collaborative art exhibits in California, ROID has finally begun a push for the demanding world of fine art. At the ripe young age of 29, the emerging street artist cultivated a reputation for his own distinct style surrounding boundary pushing innovations and uber-technical murals. Having spent much of the last decade gaining the attention of graffiti lovers and of course the transit police, ROID joined the ranks of American street art crew MSK in 2008, the same year he graduated from London’s Camberwell College of Art. Since then, the contemporary illustrator made his art world debut alongside Revok and Rime at the Known Gallery in 2011, earning himself a nod from Forbes magazine in an article on “The 30 Most Important Artists and Designers under 30.”

Now on the heels of his debut solo show, the renowned typographer has returned to his secluded studio working entirely by hand with painstaking precision on a variety of canvases from wood to paper. In an exhibit that will likely feature a clash between his eclectic graffiti styling and vivid abstract paintings, ROID offers an encompassing look at the Trade Essentials behind the show. From assorted acrylics to spray paint, a hairdryer to his studio companion, Klaus, the London-based artist pulled everything from his arsenal to create a collection of work that will likely solidify his spot among the big names in art. ROID’s “MORE THAN EVER” show will be open to the public from June 1st to June 3rd at Shop 13 The Old Truman Brewery in London.
